The Astrological Highlights of the Coming Week
Today (25 April) Mercury resumes its forward 🚀 motion in Aries. By 13 May, Mercury will be out of its shadow, meaning that the communicator of the zodiac will be back to where it was before its retrograde. Significantly, as Mercury prepares to go direct it will join with Rāhu 🐲, the north node of the Moon.
Rāhu, was the node of the Moon infolved in the recent solar eclipse and is regarded in Vedic astrology as a trickster👻. To get a sense of this archetype think of how an eclipse reverses🔄 the natural order—the day suddenly becomes night; while nocturnal animals emerge thinking it is night, animals that are ordinarily active by day go to sleep. While Mercury direct will definitely energize🔥 the area of our individual birth charts dominated by Aries, it will be best to avoid impulsive decisions. In fact, staying grounded 😌 is the perfect antidote the Rāhu’s smoke-and-mirrors energy.

Today’s (23 April’s) full Moon 🌝 in Scorpio marks the culmination point 🌡️ of a very intense lunar month. It all started with an epic solar eclipse in Aries, ruled by fiery Mars🔥, with today’s full Moon appearing in Mars’ other sign—Scorpio.
Scorpio highlights our inner struggles🙈 and emotional dissonance—if we are self-aware these insights can lead us to growth and understanding, otherwise, they may inflame frustration and conflict. The fact that intense Pluto 🌋 forms a square aspect to this full Moon further energises the theme of depth.
This Scorpio full Moon demands that we feel deeply and may trigger reactive emotions🌊, and what we do with these emotions will make all the difference.
The ruling deity of the full Moon is Vāyu, the Vedic wind god🌬️. Wind in this context is understood archetypally and also relates to the prāṇa, or life air and the five inner vāyus of classical Indian medicine. Significantly, another Sanskrit name for the wind deity is Anila, literally ‘to have no resting place’—reinforcing the restless🍃 energy of this week.
Wishing you all the best with understanding and befriending the full Moon’s volatility.🙏🏼🪷 #eyeofthevedas #tropicalvedicastrology #fullmoonscorpio #fullmoon #esoteric #esotericastrology
Hot 🥵 on the heels of the recent solar eclipse comes the next major astrological event of 2024. Jupiter✨ and revolutionary Uranus⚡️ meet in Taurus on 20 April for a conjunction that traditionally signaled quantum leaps and the surge towards collective freedom.
📍The last time Jupiter and Uranus joined one another was 2010, marked by the advent of the Arab Spring📍, a series of anti-government protests✊, rebellions and armed uprisings that spread across much of the Arab world. With current heightened tension in the Middle East, this conjunction could bring a dramatic shift on this volatile front.
📍Underlying the Jupiter-Uranus archetype is an impulse towards freedom🗽 and breakthrough📍, and interestingly, the last time the two met in Taurus (8 May 1941) the Z3, the world’s first working programmable, fully automatic computer was completed, so watch out for significant tech discoveries in the coming weeks.
On a personal level, the area of our individual birth charts dominated by Taurus will sizzle with a divine spark⚡️ during this transit. Encountering unconventional (Uranus) teachers or gurus (Jupiter) is on the cards.
One of the most fascinating patterns associated with this transit is the motif of *Deus Ex Machina*; the terms refers to a plot device📝 whereby a seemingly critical crisis in a story is unexpectedly resolved by a divine or otherwise unlikely occurrence. The audience is left surprised by an otherwise irresolvable plot situation, suddenly resolved by surprise intervention... Something to look forward to..!?✨
